Til Dawn Do Us Part
A downloadable game
The two of you, I’m sorry to say, have died. I don’t mean to alarm you, but you’ve been dead for quite some time.
Til Dawn Do Us Part is a tabletop role-playing game for two players about undead lovers, friends, or partners reuniting on the one night they’re able to exist in the world.
It’s about the function of memory in relationships, and the physical things we hold onto in order to hold onto someone.
Together, you will build the story of a relationship through fragments of memories. You will visit old haunts, rehash old stories, and rekindle old friendships.
This is a short and simple, rules-lite, collaborative story-telling game with no dice and no game master.
In Til Dawn Do Us Part, two players will work together to build a fictional relationship and the world it took place in.
Over the course of three rounds, you will take turns responding to prompts, fleshing out meaningful places in the history of your relationship, "remembering" the time you spent together, reflecting on how these locations changed you, and how they have changed in the time that has passed since you were last there.
In your exploration of these memories, you will diagram out your connection to these places, building a map that represents your history there.
You will connect those memories to physical objects - keepsakes - that you've taken with you to the grave.
Amidst this reminiscing, you will also have the opportunity to build new memories, adding to the tapestry of your story.
The following PDFs contain everything you need to play, including:
- a 10-page digital rulebook with character sheets and art
- a version of the rulebook formatted for zine-style printing
- low-ink versions of the above
- separate character sheets for printing extras
